UX Design for Study Course
Study Project
The goal of the project was to gather ideas for improving the UX course at Laurea. The main question was: How can we make the course more beneficial for students?
The project involved user research, data analysis, empathizing with users, defining users’ problems, and ideating solutions.
This was a group assignment with four students. We worked as a team and divided the tasks equally. My responsibilities included conducting user research, creating two personas, writing user stories and problem statements, and ideating using the Crazy 8’s method. In this section, I will present only the parts of the work that I was responsible for.

Project Phases
By interviewing students, we gained valuable insights into their needs and wishes. Based on the research data, we created personas, user stories, and problem statements.
In the ideation phase, we brainstormed solutions that could benefit students attending the course in the future. We used the Crazy 8’s method to sketch ideas and selected the three best solutions.
The outcome of the project was a visual UX report that included the project phases and final solutions.
Our teacher was impressed with our work and gained valuable insights into students’ needs and wishes for the course. These insights will be considered when developing the course in the future.
